Terms of use
These are short, because there is not much to agree to. The site is free, there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay.

Who we are
The Copybook (thecopybook.co.uk) is run by Richmond Tutoring Company Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16871015. Registered office: 37 Talma Gardens, Twickenham, England, TW2 7RB. "We" and "us" on this page mean that company. You can reach us at hello@thecopybook.co.uk.
Using the site
You can use The Copybook for your own and your family's learning, and teachers can use it with their classes. Print what you like, practise as much as you like, and come back as often as you like. There is no limit and no account.
Please do not copy the whole site with automated tools, republish our practice questions and explanations as your own, or suggest that the site is connected to you or your business.
The past papers
The KS2 SATs papers and mark schemes are Crown copyright. We share them under the Open Government Licence v3.0, which lets anyone reuse them for free, as long as they say where they came from. That credit appears on every paper page.
The English reading booklets are not stored here. They include stories and articles that are still in copyright, which the Department for Education is not allowed to let others share, so those pages link to the official copy on GOV.UK instead. If you reuse the papers yourself, the same licence applies to you, and the reading booklets are still not covered by it.
Our own material
The practice questions, the explanations, the comprehension passages and the area guides were written for this site and belong to it. You are welcome to use them with your own children or your own class. You may not republish them, sell them, or use them to build a product of your own.
What this site is not
- It is not a tutoring service, and it cannot predict how any child will do in any exam.
- It has no connection to any exam board, grammar school, council, or the Standards and Testing Agency.
- The area guides describe what councils and schools have published, with the date we checked each fact. Admissions rules are set again every year, so always check the council's own pages before you rely on a date. Every guide links to the pages it was written from.
Mistakes, and telling us about them
We work hard to get things right. Every practice answer is checked a second time by a separate program before it goes on the site, and every date in a guide shows where it came from. Even so, mistakes can slip through. The site is provided as it is, without any guarantee, and we are not responsible for decisions made because of it. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we will fix it.
Changes
These terms may change as the site grows. The date at the bottom shows when they last changed.
